14-DAYS ROUNDTRIP FROM NORTH SUMATRA TO ACEH PULAU WEH

Day 01: MEDAN - BERASTAGI
Arrival in Medan, is the capital of North Sumatera Province then drive to the cool and pleasant highland town of Berastagi-a mountain resort with its refreshing weather and magnificent mountain scenery which has an abundance of flowers, vegetables and fruits (most famous of which is the "Marquisa" passion fruit).It will take about 2 hours passing through winding road with lovely countryside. On the way visit Peceren the old Karo Batak village with a number of traditional houses still being used where eight families live in together in each house. 
Arrival in Berastagi visits the local fruit. Overnight in the hotel Grand Mutiara or similar.

Day 02: SIBAYAK VOLCANO + LAKE TOBA TOUR (B)
Early in the morning we climb on the Volcano Sibayak.
From the top of Volcano Sibayak we visit Semangat Gunung village with a sulphur Hotspring. Following drive to Parapat on the lake toba.On the way we make visiting the waterfall Sipiso piso and the panorama of Lake of Toba and on your way back to Berastagi we visit a traditional village of Batak Karo tribe "Dokan", where we look in a "Rumah si waluh Jabu". Return to Berastagi.Overnight at the hotel.

Day 03: BERASTAGI - BUKIT LAWANG (B)
After breakfast we leave Berastagi for  Bukit Lawang, the Orang Utan rehabilitation centre located in Gunung Leuser Park. En-route stops at of rubber, oil palm and cacao plantations with some countryside landscape. Arrive in Bukit Lawang; Overnight at Ecolodge

Day 04: GUNUNG LEUSER NATIONAL PARK (B-L)
After breakfast, walking to the jungle to see the Orang Utan by crossing the river with traditional canoe and then tracking to the feeding site to see the Orang Utan on their feeding time. After feeding continue tracking on Leuser National Park for three hours where you can see more Orang Utan in their own habitat, several kinds of monkey like long tail Macaca, Black Gibbon, Lizard and other animal, afternoon return back to Bukit Lawang and free at own leisure. Overnight at Ecolodge.

Day 05: BUKIT LAWANG - TANGKAHAN (B)
After breakfast leave Bukit Lawang for Tangkahan by Jeep / Motor Bike passing plantation and jungle road, on the way stop at Plantation and several interesting places such as school, palm oil factory and for enjoying the panorama and witness the activities of the local people. Upon arrival at Tangkahan check in to Mega Inn.or similar.

Day 06: Day Trip TANGKAHAN (B-L-D)
After breakfast, prepared tour by guide continue tracking, today is a half day walking and explore the tropical rain forest with it's wild life living in their natural habitat.
Afternoon return to Mega Inn.Overnight at the lodge.

Day 07: Day Trip TANGKAHAN (B-L)
Breakfast will serve at the lodge.
Morning, you will go for Elephant trekking explore part of the Leuser National Park about 1 hour. Afternoon will be free at your own leisure. You can walk a long the bank of the Buluh river, is to see thousand beautiful butterflies by the river, visiting and bathing at the small waterfall in the rainforest close to the river and or swimming in Buluh river itself.
Overnight at the lodge.

Day 08: TANGKAHAN - LHOK SUMAWE (B)

After breakfast we head in the direction of the province of "Aceh".
On the way we visit the "Sultan Azizi" Mosque in Tanjung Pura, as well as some fisher villages.
In the late afternoon we arrive in Lhok Sumawe.
Overnight at the hotel.

Day 09: LHOK SUMAWE - BANDA ACEH (B)
We continue by car to Banda Aceh, the capital of the province of Aceh in North Sumatra. The cityBanda Aceh is the provincial capital and largest city in the province of Aceh, Indonesia, located on the island of Sumatra, with an elevation of 21 meters. The city regency covers an area of 64 square kilometres and according to the 2000 census had a population of 219,070 people. Banda Aceh is located at the northwestern tip of Indonesia at the mouth of the River Krueng Aceh.The city was originally named Kutaraja, and determined as the provincial capital in 1956. Kuta Raja means "City of the King", in reference to the founding of the Aceh Sultanate from Champa origins. Later its name was changed to Bandar Aceh Darussalam or popularly known as Banda Aceh, with the first part of the name coming from the Persian bandar meaning "port" or "haven". It is also referred to as the "port to Mecca", as Islam first arrived in Aceh before spreading throughout Southeast Asia.Banda Aceh was not frequently the subject of international discussion until December 26, 2004, the day the Indian Ocean earthquake struck off the western coast of Sumatra. Banda Aceh was the closest major city to the earthquake's epicenter, and suffered further damage when a tsunami struck shortly afterward. It was the worst hit area out of all the locations hit. 167,000 people died and many more were injured. The tsunamis resulted from an earthquake of magnitude 9.3 and struck at about 6:58am. The epicenter was about 155 miles off the coast of Banda Aceh. Here we find the newly built Museum of the tsunami.

Day 10-13: BANDA ACEH - PULAU WEH (B)
After breakfast we will drive in the the port of Banda Aceh with the fast ferry in approx 40 minutes to the upstream, beautiful island "Pulau Weh". The island’s fingers grasp at the mighty Indian Ocean, forming vistas of alternating land and sea. Like the terrestrial landscape, the underwater geography is rugged and varied, creating the scuba version of hiking. Divers describe great walls of languid sea fans, deep canyons and rock pinnacles, plus a lot of big fish.

Day 14: PULAU WEH - BANDA ACEH - Airport (B)
After a last good breakfast we go by ferry back to Banda Aceh and transfer to the airport to catch your next flight.  “SAMPAI BERTEMU KEMBALI”
